Thank you Middle Sister Wines for sponsoring this post.

Growing up, my sisters and I weren’t very close.  I am 7 and 9 years older than them, so when I was in high school, and they were just little kids, I found them to be super annoying, and didn’t want anything to do with them.  They would sneak into my room and go through my stuff.  They would get together and plot against me.  I know now that they were just having fun, and that was their way of trying to be a part of my life.

Now that I am in my 30’s, my sisters are in their mid-20’s, and we all have kids around the same age, we get along better than ever.  They are my best friends, and I love to spend time with them.  We never need an excuse to get together.  We just enjoy each others’ company, no matter what we are doing.

Sometimes it really surprises me just how well my sisters and I do get along with each other, since we all have very different personalities.  Have you ever heard that birth order is commonly believed to have a profound and lasting effect on psychological development?  Well, that certainly rings true in our family!

Being the oldest child, I am super organized, a rule follower, a people pleaser.  I plan out everything I do way ahead of time, and I absolutely hate surprises (because I can’t have control over them and plan things out!).  I strive for perfection.

My middle sister, Angela, is always super relaxed, goes with the flow, and does things that make her happy.  She loves to be spontaneous and live in the moment.  In her younger days, she was also a bit of a trouble maker.  She would often break the rules and push my parents’ buttons.

My youngest sister, Amber, is a bit of a spitfire.  On the outside, she looks innocent and sweet, but she doesn’t ever hold back, and she tells it like it is.  If she is angry with you for any reason at all, she will let you know, and you won’t hear the end of it!

When my sisters and I get together, we like to do a couple of things.  One of those is to eat.  We are Italian, so we like to reconnect over our favorite foods.  We also like to drink wine.  Good food and good wine go hand in hand, and make for a great celebration of sisterhood.

We recently got together and shared a wonderful meal and some delicious Middle Sister Wine.  How fitting, right?

Middle Sister Wines are crafted by award-winning winemaker Nancy Walker (a middle sister herself), and include a wide variety of red, white and sparkling wines from California and Argentina.

The Middle Sister brand is based on a series of quirky “middle sister” characters who each claim their own varietal and personality. The various sisters, with personalities like Wild One Malbec, Drama Queen Pinot Grigio, Rebel Red, and more, are engaging and entertaining.

There’s a Middle Sister Wine for everyone!  The one I relate the most with, is of course, the Goodie Two Shoes Pinot Noir.

All of the Middle Sister Wines we tried were so refreshing and delicious.  The Mischief Maker Cabernet Sauvignon went great with our steak dinner.
