I received free product and promotional products in exchange for my honest review and opinion.

Gorton's Blogger Giveaway

Pregnancy sure can do some strange things to you, huh?  When I was pregnant with Kayleigh, I didn’t really have any food aversions, but this time around, I had a severe aversion to fish for quite a while.  I was absolutely distraught that I couldn’t eat fish, because normally I love it, and eat it on a weekly basis.  I ate fish regularly throughout my pregnancy with Kayleigh, and couldn’t get enough of it, actually.

It’s been a long 8.5 months, and I am happy to report that my aversion to fish has been slowly going away, yay!  Last week I went out and stocked my freezer full of Gorton’s Simply Bake and Grilled products, and I am going to indulge!

I started my week off with this delicious Salmon Salad with Honey Mustard Dressing.  I just tossed some fresh spinach and kale with diced orange pepper and grape tomatoes, topped it with a Gorton’s Simply Bake Salmon and drizzled with honey mustard salad dressing.  It was absolutely delicious!!

I love how easy the Gorton’s Simply Bake and Grilled products are to prepare.  Not only that, but they taste amazing, and are good for you, too!  Experts recommend eating seafood at least twice a week, as it is a lean protein and contains plenty of natural Omega-3.

I’m in the home stretch of my pregnancy, finally.  I’ve only gained 15 pounds so far this pregnancy, and I am really happy with that, and want to continue to keep my weight down in this last month.  When I was pregnant with Kayleigh, I gained 45 pounds, and I felt awful for several months after giving birth.

In addition to eating better, I have signed up for the Gorton’s 30-Day Realistic Resolution Challenge on SparkPeople.com.  You can also sign up using the SparkPeople app (available on iTunes Store or Google Play).  There, you will find daily tips and easy ways to stick to your resolutions for good.  You know, those resolutions you made at the beginning of the year, that usually fall the wayside after just a couple of weeks… The deadline to sign up for the 30-Day Realistic Resolution Challenge is January 30, 2015, and you will be able to participate through the end of February.

I really love all of the daily tips they have shared.  They truly are realistic resolutions that are easy to stick to, like drinking more water during the day, adding more veggies to a meal, or having a healthy snack.

One lucky reader will win the following prize package:

  • 2 full-value product coupons
