The temps took a turn for the cold here in Maine last week, and I’ve been loving it.  Fall is in the air, and I’ve broken out my sweaters and had an overwhelming urge to bake and cook.

Today, I dusted off my slow cooker and decided to make some Sweet & Spicy Cocktail Weenies, a perfect treat for a cool day!

Sweet & Spicy Cocktail Weenies

I love this recipe because the addition of Texas Pete Hot Sauce adds a great little hint of spice.  You don’t really notice it too much while you are eating the weenies, but they definitely have a spicy after bite that is truly wonderful.

Texas Pete Hot Sauce

In addition to delicious hot sauce, Texas Pete offers a variety of products that will improve the taste of every meal.  They offer wing sauces, Hotter hot sauce, a garlic hot sauce, CHA! by Texas Pete sriracha sauce and a green pepper sauce.  Don’t those sound yummy??  You can use their sauces as a condiment to add spice and flavor to hot dogs, fries, pizza, soup, sandwiches.  The list goes on and on…

In addition to using their sauces as condiments, they can also be used as ingredients in your favorite dishes, like ribs and barbecue, and even red velvet cake icing (you can find the recipe and other Texas Pete Hot Sauce recipes here)!

So now, back to my Sweet & Spicy Cocktail Weenies.  These will warm your belly on a cold day, and are a great addition to your next Football gathering.  Check out the super easy recipe below, and pick up a bottle or two of Texas Pete sauces today!  You can easily find Texas Pete Hot Sauce at a store near you.
