I received no compensation for this post. All thoughts and opinions are 100% my own. Please excuse some of the blurry pictures. I had Kayleigh in tow, and she made it quite difficult for me to photograph. 😉
sweetFrog recently opened in our city, and John offered to treat me last night. I had heard great things about this frozen yogurt shop, but didn’t know what to expect.
When we first got there, it was a little overwhelming. There was a counter completely filled with every kind of topping you can imagine. There were also multiple frozen yogurt dispensers built into the wall.
We finally located the frozen yogurt cups, and realized it was a “make it yourself” type of thing. What a brilliant idea!
We grabbed our cups and headed over to the frozen yogurt dispensers. There were so many flavors available. It was really hard to choose.
I finally settled on Strawberry Cheesecake, and John opted to get three different flavors – Classic Chocolate, Strawberry Cheesecake and Wild Berry Tart.
We then headed over to the toppings. I was a little conservative with mine and got strawberries, cheesecake bites, nonpareils, yogurt bits and caramel topping.
John went crazy with his though, and created the oddest combination ever. I think he was just so overwhelmed by them all, that he didn’t think about what would work well together, and with the kinds of frozen yogurt he got. He paired kiwi and blueberries with Reese’s Pieces and Hot Fudge!
We brought our creations up to the counter and set them on the scale. They charge you by the weight of your frozen yogurt dish, which I think is pretty neat.
We headed over to one of the available tables and took a seat.
The feel of the place was very relaxed and laid back, though the bright pink and green colors were a little distracting. I could see going there to sit by myself and do some blogging or something though.
The frozen yogurt was really amazing. It was smooth and creamy, and I love that it did not make me feel really bloated afterwards like ice cream usually does. It was a great little snack, and I enjoyed getting out of the house for the first time in a few months for something other than grocery shopping!
