John and I have had real Christmas trees for the last few years, but this year we decided to get an artificial one instead.  We had hoped to be in our own home by now, but the house we put an offer on fell through, due to a failed inspection, and even though we have looked at DOZENS of houses since then, we have not found “the one”.

We are currently living in a very small apartment until we find our new home.  We don’t have a lot of room for a Christmas tree, and honestly, I just don’t feel like dealing with the mess of sticky pine needles, and having to remember to water it every day.  We took a trip to Target and picked up a small, 6 foot tree for $27.00 and called it a day.

According to a recent survey conducted by The Prowl, Cafe Mom’s newest site, a whopping 72% of moms celebrating Christmas are planning to get a fake tree for their home this year!  So, it looks like I’m not alone in my decision to go fake this year.
