Over the years, I have grown to enjoy wine very much. I am more of a red wine kind of person. I really love that deep, rich flavor. Once in a while I will drink white wine, but if I have a choice, it's almost always red.
One of my favorite wines is from Caduceus Cellars, owned and operated by Maynard James Keenan, lead singer of Tool, Puscifer and A Perfect Circle. It is called Mangus, and it is a blend – 69% Sangiovese , 13% Merlot , 12% Cabernet Sauvignon , 4% Petite Verdot , and 2% Cabernet Franc. I have tried a few of his other wines, including a white wine, but this one is the one I always go back to.
This wine pairs very well with pasta (we love it with fettuccini alfredo), and hearty soups. I love that this wine is produced in Arizona, and that I am supporting one of my favorite musicians by drinking it. We like to keep things local in this household.
Now, Maynard's wine is pretty great as it, but he hasn't been in the wine business for very long, so his wines are fairly new, and have not aged. I recently heard of this cool little contraption, called the VinoVinti, that enhances the flavor, feel and finish of wine all at once, by extracting CO2.
VinoVinti treats an entire bottle of win in only 20-30 seconds, reduces the harshness of tannins and what some people call the “acidic bite”, opens the wine and enriches the flavor, improves the mouthfeel and finish, is easy to use and is designed to give a lifetime of wine enjoyment. This sounds like something I definitely want to get my hands on! I mean, why WOULDN'T you want to enhance the flavor of your wine with something this easy to use?!
Here's a video that shows how it works:
Isn't that neat?? I want one! Oh, Santa!…
