I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Heinz Vinegar. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and as a thank you for participating.
Over the years, my tastes have changed greatly. For example, I used to eat only ranch dressing on my salads, which consisted of just lettuce and veggies. Now, I’ll eat pretty much any kind of salad with any kind of salad dressing. It’s really fun to experiment with different ingredients and flavors, and often times, I find myself quite surprised at just how much I enjoy the new dishes I would have never thought about trying before.
I recently received a bottle of Heinz Apple Cider Vinegar and a bottle of Heinz Unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar for review. I immediately had the urge to make a salad dressing. After some searching online, I came across this recipe for Apple Cider Vinegar and Honey Vinaigrette Dressing. I had all the ingredients on hand, so I just had to try it! I used the Apple Cider Vinegar for this recipe.
This recipe is super simple to throw together and it tastes great. I drizzled it over a salad made of mixed greens, apple slices (I used Royal Gala apples), walnuts and goat cheese. The combinations of flavors was really delightful, and I love how light the salad dressing is. I could eat this every day!
A Delicious Salad Made With Heinz Apple Cider Vinegar
Heinz Apple Cider Vinegar’s tart flavor is great for adding a kick to a salad, but there are a whole bunch of other things it’s good for as well! It can be used in cleaning (a great way to avoid those harsh and nasty chemicals most cleaning products have), cooking other dishes (I’m dying to try it with salmon!), and more. I recently poured some down my kitchen sink drain to get rid of a nasty odor, and it worked like a charm!
Heinz Apple Cider Vinegar also has the full 5% acidity required for canning and pickling. I think I just might do some canning and pickling in a couple of months! My Dad and my grandmother used to can and pickle quite often when I was a child, and I’d love to try out some of their recipes with Heinz Apple Cider Vinegar and Heinz Unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar.
Heinz Unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar is vinegar in its most natural and wholesome form, because it retains the “mother” of the vinegar – a compound created naturally during vinegar’s fermentation process.
Heinz Vinegar has a great recipe on their website for an Apple Iced Tea, using their Unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar. Simply mix 1 teaspoon Heinz Unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar, 1/2 cup unsweetened iced tea and 1/2 cup apple juice and enjoy with ice!
